Ruto: Government to Cover Flight Tickets for Kenyans Seeking Employment Abroad.
President William Ruto has affirmed the government's dedication to supporting Kenyans seeking employment abroad. Speaking in Taita Taveta on Sunday, Ruto mentioned that 1,000 Kenyans leave the country every week for overseas jobs. He stated, "I have taken the initiative to find jobs abroad and ensure that those going for these jobs receive their passports within a week. They won't even need to worry about flight costs, as the government will cover their travel expenses."
The president also encouraged Members of Parliament to organize youth in their constituencies to take advantage of these overseas job opportunities.
As part of his efforts to address youth unemployment, Ruto has signed agreements with various countries to facilitate the export of Kenya's youthful workforce. In addition to those going abroad, Ruto is also focusing on creating digital jobs, enabling youth to work remotely for international companies.
On May 26, Ruto pledged to secure investments and opportunities, including 10,000 overseas jobs for Kenyans. He noted that this plan aims to have 250,000 Kenyans working abroad annually.
